Hello Jackson: Beyond Vogue

Earlier this year, downtown Jackson got quite a face-lift with the addition of the Jackson Walk area. One of the first businesses to open in that new retail space was Beyond Vogue, a blend of hip and classic trends from fashionable cities such as L.A. and New York City.
Beyond Vogue carries a curated selection of sleek accessories, select modern home decor, and an assortment of contemporary women’s clothing. They seek out both established and up-and-coming designers, so they are not only introducing new styles to Jackson, but they are helping these designers get their name out.
“Beyond Vogue’s fashion goods are unmistakably retro chic, a marriage between East Coast polish and refinement and the West Coast’s flair for uniqueness,” says Emily Moore, Digital Marketing Director and daughter of owners Barry and Calista Joyce. Because they do their buying at the largest trade shows in the U.S., Beyond Vogue is able to offer a selection that is truly unique to the Southeast and unavailable elsewhere in West Tennessee.
Olive & Oak as well as Ark & Co. are two brands in stock that I personally love and have been able to find only online until Beyond Vogue opened! They also carry a variety of lamps, kitchen accessories, and decorative items that make wonderful gifts, as well as beautiful jewelry by designers such as Robyn Rhodes. Rhodes’s jewelry line is handcrafted in gold or silver and made with genuine stones. The prices in the store vary, but most of the clothing selection falls under the $100 range with a few higher end selections.
Mother-daughter team Calista and Emily knew they wanted their company to be in an energetic environment with growth potential. The thriving area downtown proved to be a perfect spot for them, and they are excited to be growing with the community rather integrating into an already existing community. The store was designed to be sleek and original with a lot of black and white elements. They have definitely achieved their vision of being the “Chanel of Jackson” as far as the look of the store goes. When you walk it, it feels as if you’ve stepped into a big city store mixed with the Southern hospitality that I love so much. While Calista resides here in Jackson, her daughter Emily lives in L.A. and is able to quickly access the newest designs and get them in stock. She also maintains a website for Beyond Vogue so that people in other cities have access to the same great selection.
